What a ski week in Austria costs a family: ski passes 2026/27

6-day ski passes for a family of 2 + 2 in 20 Austrian ski areas in 2026/27: from €710 to €1,488. Where it is cheapest and how to save.

Family with two children skiing down a groomed slope above a valley with a village

Short answer: a family with two children (aged 9 and 5) typically pays around €1,040 for 6-day ski passes in high season 2026/27. The cheapest is the Stubai Glacier (€710), the most expensive Ski Arlberg (€1,488). The difference comes mainly from the rules for children and from your dates.

We used the official high-season ticket office prices: two adults and two children (aged 9 and 5), six days of skiing. Accommodation and equipment rental are not included.

Pitztal and Kaunertal are not in the table because their multi-day passes are only sold as “6 out of 7 days”.

Why the differences are so large

  • Children ski free. At the Stubai Glacier both children ski free, which makes it €200 cheaper than the next ski area. In Nauders, Ski Juwel and Ski Arlberg, on the other hand, we count the 5-year-old as paying, because the price list gives no price for the youngest.
  • Size of the ski area. Large linked ski areas (Arlberg, Ischgl, Ötztal) are more expensive than smaller areas in Carinthia and Styria.
  • Dates. In Sölden and Kühtai the most expensive periods are Christmas and February.

How to save

  1. Go outside high season. In SkiWelt a 6-day adult ski pass costs €372 instead of €413.50 in December and from mid-March. In Kühtai the ski pass is a quarter cheaper at the start of the season.
  2. Buy online in advance. In Ski amadé you can get a 6-day ski pass online from €367.50 instead of €432.50 at the ticket office (dynamic pricing).
  3. Use your guest card. In Ischgl the guest card unlocks the VIP ski pass: six days for €385 instead of €451, and children under 10 ski free with a parent. Our family of 2 + 2 then pays €770 instead of €1,159, almost as little as at the Stubai Glacier. In Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis six days with the guest card cost €403 instead of €429, and the family pays €1,039 instead of €1,108. Other winter guest cards do not make the ski pass cheaper, but they give you a free ski bus and more; see Wintercard vs. Sommercard.
  4. Look out for spring family offers. In Ski Juwel (from 13 Mar) and in Nauders (from 20 Mar) children up to 15 ski free when a parent buys a multi-day pass. The overview is in the article Where children ski for free.

The ski pass calculator works out the exact price for your family and dates, using the right price list for each date.
