- From the ski centre in Mauterndorf take the eight-seater Grosseckbahn gondola up.
- From the top station you reach the upper and lower Trogalmseen lakes in about 20 minutes.
- Descend on path no. 8 to the Trogalm and return to the top station on a forest track. The loop takes about an hour.

From the top station a forest track leads to the Speiereckhütte (20 minutes) and on along the ridge to the Speiereck.
