Route description
- The Hohe Mut Bahn gondola takes you from Obergurgl to over 2,600 m, right to the Hohe Mut Alm restaurant.
- Path no. 30 first drops gently, then climbs to the Bärenhoppe, a grassy ridge between the Rotmoostal and Gaisbergtal valleys.
- The path then follows the northern slope of the Rotmoostal further into the valley. Ahead rise the glaciated three-thousanders of the Gurgl ridge, and the meadows gradually give way to a stony desert.
- On a small ridge above 2,700 m is the Rotmoosferner stamp and a view of the glacier. Return the same way.
