Guest Mobility Ticket Salzburg: using free public transport on a winter holiday
You get the Guest Mobility Ticket with accommodation in SalzburgerLand: buses, S-Bahn and trains free for your stay. How to get it and use it for skiing.

Short answer: the Guest Mobility Ticket covers public transport across the whole state of Salzburg. You get it free with your accommodation; it is valid from arrival for your whole stay and includes city and regional buses, the S-Bahn and regional and long-distance trains. It is not a ski pass, but it saves you the car between ski areas, for example from Zell am See to Saalbach or from Flachau to Gastein.
Who gets it
All overnight guests in SalzburgerLand. Your host sends it digitally or as a PDF at check-in, or in advance with online pre-check-in. Then it also covers your arrival by public transport within Salzburg.
It is not valid in Styria (for example Schladming or Ramsau am Dachstein) or in Tyrol.
What it includes
- city transport, including the city of Salzburg,
- regional buses,
- all S-Bahn lines,
- regional and long-distance trains within the state,
- Salzburg Verkehr shuttles.
Cable cars are not included. Ski buses are free with the ski pass in most resorts; in Saalbach the ski bus is part of the ski pass.
Using it for skiing
| You stay in | By bus or train to | Ski pass |
|---|---|---|
| Zell am See | Kaprun (Kitzsteinhorn, Maiskogel), Saalbach | Ski ALPIN CARD covers all |
| Kaprun | Zell am See (Schmittenhöhe) | Ski ALPIN CARD |
| Flachau, Wagrain | Altenmarkt, Radstadt, St. Johann im Pongau, Gastein | Ski amadé from 1.5 days |
| Bad Hofgastein | Bad Gastein, Dorfgastein | Ski amadé |
| Obertauern | Radstadt | Obertauern |
You get the most out of it when you combine several areas on one multi-day pass and do not want to hunt for parking at the lifts every day.
