Ski ALPIN CARD 2026/27: planning a ski trip to Saalbach, Zell am See and Kaprun

The Ski ALPIN CARD 2026/27 is valid in Saalbach, Zell am See and Kaprun from a single day. Prices for 1–14 days, season dates, afternoon tickets and where to stay.

A family skis on the Schmittenhöhe above frozen Lake Zell and Zell am See, with the Kitzsteinhorn behind

Short answer: Saalbach, Zell am See and Kaprun sell just one ski pass, the Ski ALPIN CARD. From a single day it is valid in all three areas: the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, the Schmittenhöhe and the Kitzsteinhorn with Maiskogel, together up to 408 km of slopes and 121 lifts. In the 2026/27 high season a day costs €82 and six days €440 for adults.

So choosing the pass is easy here. What matters is where you stay and how many days you ski.

High-season prices 2026/27

High season runs 19 Dec 2026 – 12 Mar 2027.

Children born 2021 or later get a free pass when accompanied by an adult (photo needed). A family with two children (9 and 5) pays €1,100 for six days.

If you do not want to ski every day, there are pick passes: 5 days out of 7 for €400 and 10 out of 14 for €636 for adults.

When it is cheaper

  • Winter start: 27 Nov – 18 Dec 2026.
  • Bonus season: 13 Mar – 4 Apr 2027.

A day pass then costs €74 instead of €82 (children €37). At the start and end of the season, the most reliable snow is on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier above Kaprun.

Where to stay: Saalbach, Zell am See or Kaprun?

Place Skiing from your door Best for
Saalbach Hinterglemm Skicircus, the largest of the three, linked with Leogang and Fieberbrunn Lots of kilometres without driving
Zell am See Schmittenhöhe above the lake A town, the lake and evening life
Kaprun Maiskogel above the village, Kitzsteinhorn glacier Early and late season, reliable snow

Zell am See and Kaprun are next to each other with buses in between. Saalbach is in the neighbouring valley, by car or bus via Maishofen. A typical plan: stay in one place and spend a day or two in the other areas. You already have the pass.

Getting between the areas

All overnight guests in Salzburg get the Guest Mobility Ticket: free public transport throughout the state, including buses between Zell am See, Kaprun and Saalbach. In Saalbach the ski bus is included in the ski pass. In Zell am See and Kaprun you also get the Zell am See-Kaprun Gästekarte with discounts on the indoor pool and ice rink.

Ski ALPIN CARD or SuperSkiCard?

A 6-day SuperSkiCard costs €449, just €9 more than the Ski ALPIN CARD, and also covers Ski amadé, Kitzbühel and the SkiWelt. If you plan a trip beyond these three areas, it is worth it; otherwise the Ski ALPIN CARD is enough.

Buying tips

  1. Arrival day: the ticket from 11:30 costs €70 instead of €82.
  2. The Schmittenhöhe also sells a morning ticket until 12:30 for €70. It is not valid on the Kitzsteinhorn.
  3. Check your dates: the calculator works out the price for your group and dates.

All prices, the piste map and lift status are on the Ski ALPIN CARD page; the comparison with other areas is in the ski pass price index.
