JOKER CARD Saalbach Hinterglemm 2026: how to get it with your accommodation, which cable cars are unlimited, how often your bike rides free and what else is included.

The JOKER CARD is the summer card of Saalbach and Hinterglemm and one of the most generous in Austria. You get it free at partner accommodation, and it gives you six cable cars in Saalbach Hinterglemm with unlimited rides, two rides a day in Leogang, an outdoor pool, guided hikes and public transport across the whole state of Salzburg. Cyclists have different rules from walkers, and that’s the main thing to sort out before your stay.

At a glance (summer 2026):

  • How to get it: only by staying with a partner in Saalbach Hinterglemm. You can’t buy it.
  • What it costs: nothing extra; it’s included in your stay.
  • Validity: 22 May – 26 October 2026, from arrival to departure (“from the first to the last minute”).
  • Walkers: 6 cable cars in Saalbach Hinterglemm with unlimited rides, 2 rides a day in total in Leogang.
  • Cyclists: your bike rides free 2× a day in total; for a full day on the trails, a bike ticket at 20% off.

How to get the JOKER CARD

  1. Book partner accommodation. Only partners issue the card. On saalbach.com, tick “Joker Card” in the advanced search. For accommodation from Booking and similar sites, check with the host directly. More tips in our article on accommodation with a summer card in Austria.
  2. You get the card on arrival from your host, in your name. It’s also available digitally in the Home of Lässig app: create an account with the same email address your accommodation uses for guest registration, and you’ll find the card under Shop → Ticket Wallet.
  3. The Guest Mobility Ticket comes with it. It covers all public transport in the state of Salzburg during your stay. If your accommodation registers you in advance, you can already use it for your journey within Salzburg on arrival day.

Good to know:

  • Children born in 2022 or later don’t get their own card. At the cable cars they go through the turnstile with an adult, and other partners let them in free.
  • The card is not transferable. If it’s misused, it’s blocked with no replacement.

Cable cars: what walkers get

Unlimited rides in Saalbach Hinterglemm:

  • Saalbach: Kohlmaisbahn, Schattberg X-press and Schattberg Sprinter,
  • Hinterglemm: Westgipfelbahn, 12er KOGEL and Hochalmbahn.

In Leogang the card gives you 2 rides a day in total, one each on the Asitzbahn and the Steinbergbahn. On the Asitz you’ll find the “Berg der Sinne” with a water trail for children.

It’s not valid on the cable car in Fieberbrunn, even though it’s part of the same bike region. For comparison: a round trip there costs €37 per adult and €18.50 per child in summer 2026, so a family of 2+2 pays €111 for one outing. That’s what the JOKER CARD can easily save you every day in Saalbach.

With the card you can also tackle the Seven Summits (seven peaks above the valley in one day) or the Pinzgauer Spaziergang from the Schattberg to the Schmittenhöhe above Zell am See.

Bikes: the rules for cyclists

Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn is the largest bike region in Austria, and this is where the JOKER CARD differs most:

  • Free bike transport 2× a day in total, always together with your own ride, on the lifts in Saalbach Hinterglemm and Leogang.
  • The Hochalmbahn in Hinterglemm doesn’t carry bikes.
  • For a full day on the trails you need a bike ticket. With the card it’s 20% cheaper, but only when you buy it at the lift ticket offices in Saalbach Hinterglemm, not in Leogang or Fieberbrunn.
1-day bike ticket (summer 2026) Adult Youth (born 2008–2010) Child (born 2011–2020)
Regular price €66 €49.50 €33
With the JOKER CARD €53 €39.50 €26.50

The bike ticket covers up to 9 lifts in Saalbach Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn, and is valid from 3 pm the day before. Young children ride with a bike ticket only with a parent.

When the card is enough and when you need a bike ticket: for a tour where you ride up once and descend to the valley, the card’s two daily bike transports are enough. If you want to lap the bike park all day, buy a bike ticket. A family of 2+2 (children aged 8 and 11) pays €159 a day for it with the card instead of €198.

What’s included besides the cable cars

  • the Käpt’n Hook outdoor adventure pool in Saalbach, unlimited,
  • the Talschlusszug, the end-of-the-valley train in Hinterglemm,
  • up to 10 guided hikes a week with the tourist board,
  • mini golf in Saalbach and adventure golf in Hinterglemm,
  • tennis indoors and outdoors in Hinterglemm (book ahead),
  • the local history and ski museum in Saalbach,
  • attractions for children: Montelino’s Adventure Path with a water playground on the Kohlmais, Kodok’s Educational Path at the Hochalm, the summit playground on the Schattberg, a fairytale forest and more,
  • the Guest Mobility Ticket for public transport across the whole state of Salzburg.

Discounted at bonus partners across the Salzburger Land: for example 20% off the summer toboggan run in Saalfelden, the Leogang Mining Museum and the National Park Worlds in Mittersill, 15% off TAUERN SPA, 10% off the Schmittenhöhe, the Lake Zell boats and the Kaprun reservoirs, and €4 off per car on the Grossglockner. The full list with a map is on the card page.

What to watch out for

  • Leogang only 2× a day in total, and Fieberbrunn not at all. If you’re planning the Epic Bikepark Leogang, budget for a bike ticket.
  • Bikes 2× a day in total, not twice on each lift.
  • 20% off the bike ticket only at the ticket offices in Saalbach Hinterglemm, not online and not in Leogang.
  • Each lift’s operating times vary through the season; check the current status on saalbach.com.

The JOKER CARD or another card nearby

  • The Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card includes the Kitzsteinhorn glacier but costs a fee per night. The JOKER CARD is free, and the Pinzgauer Spaziergang lets you hike all the way to the Schmittenhöhe.
  • The Saalfelden Leogang Card comes with accommodation in Leogang and Saalfelden, if you’d rather stay closer to the Leogang bike park.
  • If you’re staying elsewhere in the Salzburger Land and only visit Saalbach on a day trip, there’s the SalzburgerLand Card, which you buy. It doesn’t include the Saalbach lifts, though, only the Asitzbahn in Leogang once.

Compare all three cards in the card comparison, and find more in the Salzburg region.
