- The Goldeckbahn takes you from Spittal an der Drau up to the top station at about 1,780 m.
- Follow path no. 31 towards Dorf Goldeck and then path no. 210 past the Goldeckhütte to the Martennock.
- Continue along the ridge to the summit of the Goldeck (2,142 m). On the way are the BergSe(h)hen viewpoint and a photo frame with a view.
- The way back passes the Goldalm restaurant just below the summit, then follows path no. 31 over the Kälberriegel ridge to the lift. About 6.7 km in total.

Shorter option
If you just want the summit, the out-and-back walk takes 1–1.5 hours (3.7 km).

The Seehütte by the top station sits on a small lake.
